Abstract

A descriptive narration of a project to create a computer animated film in both 2-D and 3-D, "Three Stories toward Creation," which depicts three stages of Latin American civilization. The film consists of three episodes: Bachué, a creation myth of the Chibcha people; Broken Pot, which depicts the coming of the Conquistadors, whom many of the native peoples mistook for gods; and Cross of Gold, a symbolic sequence which represents the blending of the Spanish and native cultures. Includes original thesis proposal, storyboards, and still images from the film.
