Abstract

Lilaclock is an online VR teamwork game that promotes shared memories and communication with family and friends. In modern lifestyles and relationships, social media are the primary method for photo sharing. However, they always draw users' attention to many different posts, and neglect communication with friends and family. This project provides players a unique place to share their photos, video, and audio memories. In the game's background story, pirates in the memory world steal the players' memories and hide them in a place called Lilaclock. Players follow the lilac trace and enter the memory world. The objective is to find the tool, open the memory box and retrieve the lost memories. Artificial intelligence and face recognition can help players choose the shared memory. Artificial intelligence identifies the special events and objects from the photos and presents them in the game environment. Virtual reality allows players to have an intrusive experience and feel the unique scenery in the game. The online games bring family and friends from different places together, deepening communication during the pandemic. This project aims to help family and friends share memory uniquely and effectively, and make the process of recalling more amusing and immersive.
