Abstract

The students studying in colleges often fix their eyes on books, on computer screens and archives for a long time to gain knowledge. As a result of this, their eyeballs often turn red out of fatigue. Researches have shown that college students lack the awareness of the benefits of giving their eyes some rest. However, there are few of eye protection advertisements which suggest the need for students to give their eyes some rest. As a designer, I need to let people know the important roles that eyes play in the human body. I feel it is important for designers to produce work that deals with social problems.

The Soul’s Speaker is a low-poly 3d promotional animation which is to raise awareness of the importance of giving the eyes some rest. In animation, I designed the eyeballs as a construction of an abstract light-based system. The environmental design of the animation is based on every part of the eyes’ construction. Through this construction and interpretation of environmental destruction, I hope to enlighten the people on the dangers of using the eyes excessively.
