Abstract

This project focuses on defining methods and strategies that can be used by graphic designers to understand their target user during the design process. These methodologies can then be incorporated into the preliminary stages of the design process as a foundation upon which usable graphic design solutions can be developed. From this study, a set of guidelines was developed that can be used by graphic designers to better understand user needs and concerns.
