Workplace privacy is an issue that affects managers and employees. Laws have been passed that reflect the interests of the two groups. Effective acceptable usage policies (AUP) need to be developed to protect each party's interests. This paper will further examine the controversy in an effort to create guidelines for a balanced AUP that satisfies both managers and employees.
