Abstract

An imaging scheme to generate 6-scan ultrasound images using frequency modulated (FM) pulses, has been outlined. A prototype experimental setup is used to perform simple imaging tasks in attenuating and non-attenuating medium. The post processing of the acquired data was carried out digitally. The objective was to study the two-directional point spread function as a function of the FM pulse parameters.
